CURP

Artifacts and ephemera from the oning project "Preserving America's Cultural Heritage" will be exhibited during October at the LACMA Lab in L.A. "Prserving America's Cultural Heritage" is a bill proposal put together by Jeffrey Vallance, an L.A.-based conceptual artist. The bill calls for a small 1% tax on each sale of art in the U.S. The funds generated by this tax would be used to support working American artists.

Opens Saturday October 21, 2006

Thanks for the news.

I can't say enough how important this bill is to the country. Not to get overly dramatic, but Rome fell because the leadership became consumed with money and power, and lost sight of culture and creativity. Our lifestyle is not just enhanced by the arts, it is DEPENDENT on them.

Climb on board, people!

I couldn't agree more. Arts education teaches people to think differently, and the earlier kids receive that education, the better.
