According to this article from the New York Times, most toy makers had a disappointing 2011, but the "main item retailers could not seem to keep in stock last year was a tablet computer for children, the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer."
If you can't beat em, join em... right?
So now we've got Barbie with a screen in her torso - she's a digital camera now. And "Monopoly money can now be counted by a tablet computer."
It reminds me of the time I was waiting to get my hair cut, and there was a family with a few little kids - two were playing with iPads, and the third was playing with an iPhone.
I'm not sure it's a good thing, but I guess it's inevitable.
